Join me in my efforts to support Lupus Foundation of America - Illinois Chapter!
As most of you know, I have severe Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), an immune 'efficiency' disease that causes my overactive immune system to assault the essential systems and organs in my body. SLE is often referred to as an orphan disease because it receives so little of the funding and research needed to find a cure or adequate treatment.
Last year, I completed the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer to honor the mother of a dear friend - this year, I will walk for myself... I hope you will join me, either at the walk or by contributing to the cause.
